Latest Formal Shoot

Just some photos from my last event shoot, a sorority formal. For those who are not familiar, it is essentially a dinner/dance type of event. I had some trouble with my lights, with one of my strobes overheating or going out, so it was a bit tricky in some parts of the ballroom, but I think things worked out alright. Most of the shots are fairly standard group/posed images but I work to find candid moments as well, which are most of what I'm posting. I made more use of telephoto than I usually do for some tight 'couple' shots which I'm hoping will prove popular- the end use of these images is for the girls to buy prints- so I in essence take pictures when asked and then find things to photograph when no one is asking!

I agree- what a perfect moment to capture. They both look good, which is definitely not always the case with shots like this.
