Lens mount cover/protector?

Does anyone know of such a thing as a lens mount cover/protector? Basically it would fit onto where u would attach the lens on the camera but just has a flat glass element, then the lens would mount to that. The inside of the camera would always be covered and would never get dirty that way when changing lenses. Thx

Welcome to the forum.

The problem with that would be that the light would have to pass through that glass and be affected.

I would think that there would be problems with electrical contacts etc.
