Nikon 70-200/2.8 is the reliable choice.

Alternatively, the Tamron 70-200/2.8 is optically excellent, at a lower price.
I have shots made the full length of the football field, where I can clearly see the players faces.

This is the full frame at 200mm on an APS-C D5600 (screen capture).

This is cropped in to the goalie (screen capture)

I think you can use the 70-200/2.8 for centerfield at night. As long as it isn't too dim in the outfield.
Just don't crop too deeply.

Seems like an excellent choice for basketball from the bleachers. Depending how far away the stands are for baseball. Probably fine for pitcher, doable for 2nd base but a bit short for center field.
