Let there be light, outside?

So I have a set of lights, all have your typical wall cords. What do you guys/gals use/suggest to power them when I want to use them other than in a building. On location in a parking structure or field for example. Is there a way to power them with my car or a mobile power source of some sort?

You can buy an inverter/battery pack or put together your own. First you need to come up with a power requirement so that you can determine which product/s you will need. I don't know that I would want to use the car battery too much for fear of not being able to go home after.

I need to power 3 lights 500W each for about an hour. What would you recommend?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5301540 might needs a little more power (1500w) but something like that would work, then just run your car. besides that alternative, maybe a generator? lol
