Lighting question: LEDs?

yeah... i would appreciate any sort of built in bounce flash so i could just grab the camera straight out of my bag (or pocket) and take a decently lit photo. i wonder how long it would take for it to hit the market?

LED WILL be the lighting of choice in the near future, probably not replacing strobes too soon though. They are becoming increasingly popular in theatre and entertainment lighting, especially rock and roll, many fixtures offer full-spectrum color mixing, and have the same output as halogen lamps but use 1/10th of the power. And prices have been dropping dramatically over the past few years. Very exciting!
