Lightroom 5 Troubleshoot

Hi,

I have a minor problem with LR, I can't make exposure, contrast et,al, adjustments to images. I think I hit a button somewhere and can't undo it.

I can pull up the scales for the adjustments but can't actually do anything. All the images are NEF files the LR presets can be changed ? the thing that I have noticed, besides, is that the auto function is not available.

Am I a just a luddite or is there something more.

With LR open click on Help > Lightroom Help

Are you in the Develop module and have the Basic panel open?
Are you using multiple displays and 1 of the 2 Survey modes active?

I've tried a variety of things but can't reproduce your problem.

Thats what I did I lost the basic tab & just got it back now I don't how I lost it though.

It may be a bit late now ... but Control-Z is my friend to Undo unknown mistakes.
