Manual or Auto-Focus?

What do you guys usually use? Ive been using the autofocus myself, but one of my photos just got critiqued for being "too soft of focus" so im curious as to how most of you seasoned photographers focus on objects?

I tend to rely on auto focus too. I wear glasses but don't like shooting with them on. I have to set the Diopter to correct my vision ttl, but can only acheive so much correction. So if I were to manually focus, it might look perfect to me, but not so much the correct focus.

i spoke to a pro who does weddings mostly - he said he always uses auto-focus. With the way he does weddings, (as a walk around and capture the events type of guy)...he doesn't want to waste time doing manual focus.

It's a type of focusing screen, used a lot in the seventies and eighties.
