I set out extremely early this morning in hopes of seeing more animals slowly warming up for the day. Headed to my regular spots searching desperatly for some sort of life. Looked around for half an hour , constantly getting bit by mosquitos. DOH I forgot repellant.
I looked a little closer and focused on some of the insect life.
Caught a couple nice moth in front of the lens
Tons of spiders will also warming themselves on the rocks. Never seen so many as I did when I actually started looking
Finally my eyes spotted a new species to photograph. I don't know how but I saw his eyes through the mud and camouflage. In an awkward bank there he was hidden, my first amphibian in this park.
I crawled through the grass and sprawled out to lean over the bank. Managed a couple dark shots.
I even caught him for a moment and before I could carry him over to a clearing he slipped out of my hands. Ah well
I wanted to squeeze this in as well. I thought the lighting turned out cool.
Quite the day!
