you are correct about using aperture priority is a bad idea......because shutter speed is fixed to a rather slow speed for moving object when a flash is used

If you read my post, there is a simple custom function that can be enabled in Canon cameras that fixes the shutter speed to 1/200 in Aperture priority for use with a speedlight.

i think i can adjust the "fixed shutter speed" with my nikon as well (i reemmber seeing it in the menu)......i dont have a canon ^_^......
