so i sold my 18-200vr on craigslist today, and bought a 10.5mm fisheye also off of craigslist with the money i made from it. i haven't had much time to mess around with it today, but so far i'm very pleased. it's amazing how much wider it is than my 17-70mm.

even though these two images weren't composed the exact same or even on the same day, they're both taken on my balcony. heres an example;

here's another interesting one i took today that i couldn't have gotten with my 17mm

Nice shots! :thumbsup: Wish I had one to play around with.

Very nice! Looks like the driver ran over the curb in #1 though!

Whoa. That is some wicked distortion. I would find the 17mm more useful but the fisheye looks like a fun toy.

for most shots yeah, the 17mm would be more useful but plan on getting the fish eye hemi plug in for photoshop, since i'm less than impressed with cs3's distortion control.

i would definitely recommend this lens to anyone though, the image quality is noticeably better than my 17-70 and the 18-200 as well

Great shots - looks like fun!!

i had a chance to mess with it in daylight for the first time, and i must say it's the most fun i've had taking pictures in a while.

here's two shots i liked the most

Cool shots!!! Fish Eyes are interesting and have there place in my eyes.... I think I rather the 17 for most shots though IMO.

#1 is great, what was your lighting setup?? as for #2, good shot, but could be a bit closer.

yeah, i wish i got a little closer on number 2 as well

i've found that setting the flash up like this yields pretty good results

the rear flash for this picture was actually in the picture along with my light stand, but i cloned it out
