Newb needs tripod advice

I just found this sight and love it. I am upgrading to a Rebel XT this week and would like to get a good tripod to go with it. My current one is an el cheapo crappo. My biggest lens is an Ef 70-300 and I shoot mostly landscapes. My budget is $100-$150. I have read some good things about the Bogen 3021 and was wondering if you guys had any opinions. I am 6'3" and would really like to get one I can use comfortably without extending the center post. What do you think.

I just bought the bogen 3021BPRO after using slik u212 for years. It is a great pod. I bought the 488 ballhead with it, and it is a fine setup. It will go plenty high for a tall person. HOwever it goes above your $150 limit for the setup. 275 delivered here from B&H new. Used maybe?

Used isn't a problem. I've been looking on ebay and there seems to be a fair amount. My biggest concern was height. Thanks for the input.
