Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
would like some general feedback on the nokon 10.5 fish eye lens....
would love to see some pics too.

is there a sigma equivalent?
I have the 18-70mm but would like to play around with this lens .
if you have it do you use it that often?
thanks

It is a full frame fisheye lens with 180 degree angle of view measured across the diagonal of the frame. It is comparable to the 16mm fisheye Nikon makes for 35mm cameras. No, I don't use it often. No there is no Sigma equivalent. I think Tokina has a fisheye zoom, however. Here are a couple of images.

My son loves this lens.... but then he's very much into what are almost abstract images...... lots of clouds and close-ups.

It can be a fun lens for what it does - and it's good at what it does - question is "Are you going to use it enough to get your money's worth?"

I would categorize a fisheye lens as a specialty lens, but that's not to say you can't shoot as you normally would, just with a fisheye lens on your camera. I don't personally own one, but I'm sure it's a damn fun lens to use. I've heard good things about Nikon's 10.5, and also the 16mm Nikon one, but I'd say only get the 16mm one if you shoot full-frame (film or D3).
