Nikon 55mm 2.8 micro?

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
    I demo'd this lens the other day on a D200 (the manual focus lens), and it metered. I'm confused. It's AIS and I thought only AIP lenses would meter on that body. Am I mistaken or was the hand of god metering for me?

    I'm not entirely sure, but I thought all Nikon AI or above lenses would meter on a D200. I think...

    The way, I understand it is that all Nikon lens meter on the D200 model and up, seem the pro models have a different type light meter that consumer models, at less that is what I read on TPF

    Here is a chart of Nikon lens/body compatibility.

    The D200 does have some compatibility with AI/AIS/E lenses.
