OMG, I just discovered Adobe Lightroom 2.1

I have CS4 and Lightroom 2 and I think that I haven't discovered how Lightroom can be used yet. I use photoshop for all of my editing currently, and import and manage photos with Lightroom.

The raw editing engines are the same in both programs, so there's no reason not to save time and do your raw conversion in LightRoom. That way you can edit at the same time you manage the images.

The presets and filters are really different-- not much alike at all actually, so it makes sense that they would have different names.

Hmm... I just checked, and I have a Sepia filter in Photoshop and a Sepia preset in Lightroom.. Many others that are the same, as well.

Dunno what version of photoshop you're using but there's nothing like that in mine. The filters are things like sharpen, blur, etc.

Capture One 4 is a better raw editor anyway :)
