Oh, I do like the POV (point of view) and DOF (depth of field) chosen for the second! Clear from start to finish, as it were, and "a frog's view", not cropping into any of the lampposts --- well seen, well planned, well done! The sky was much to your advantage, too, there is quite a bit of drame going on there, which works well against all the lines of the pier.
