Pileated Woodpeckers

I was very happy to run across this couple and was even able to get the pair in several frames. It was in the swamp and very shady, tough shooting situation, I had to take a lot of shots to get these.

Excellent! One of my favorite birds. I've seen a couple around here and hear them frequently, but so far none in camera range. So I will just enjoy yours.

What a great find. I have only ever seen one of these from afar. I guess they can be a bit skittish.
