Pismo Beach Storm - Lighting/Exposure help

I am sure there are a hundred different ways that your picture could be changed and "improved" but I like it just the way it is. My eyes were immediately drawn to the lighter portion of the picture and then I started searching the darker parts for details. Kind of like hidden treasure. Very nice!
 
i cannot see anything wrong with the pics except the horizon was in the dead center and lastly
my opinion is that you should close you lens to increase your dof. but this is an great pic, i like it.
 
I agree with floggingkyle about cropping the bottom.
I like the sky and believe it should be the main focus. With so much beach at the bottom it's kind of a tug of war for who gets the most attention.

Thanks for the suggestions, all. I'll try a new crop (when I can get back to my machine at home...the machine I'm using now is wayyyy slooowwww).:)
