Hi,
I usually only shoot film, but I have shot a digital picture that I would like to print. I would like a 20x30cm print (or around that).
I need help here.:hail:
The original picture was shot at 6 M pixels, and it's size is 2816 x 2112.
I open it in photoshop and go to "Image size"; there I have the readings:
Pixel dimentions: 17,0M
Width: 2816 pixels
Height: 2112 pixels
Document size
Width: 99,34 cm
Height: 74,51 cm
Resolution: 72 pixels/inch
Resample image is ticked and under is written: "Bicubic (best for smooth gradients)"
Do I change anything? If yes, now or later?
This picture is a B&W print, so I desaturate and play with options until I see what I want on the screen. Then the picture needs a slight rotating to it: I use the tool and then crop off the gray and white little squares.
I go back to image size and here are the new readings:
Pixel dimentions: 15,9M
Width: 2748 pixels
Height: 2024 pixels
Document size
Width: 96,94 cm
Height: 71,4 cm
Resolution: 72 pixels/inch
Resample image is ticked and under is written: "Bicubic (best for smooth gradients)"
I heard that you need 300 pixels/inch to print. Is that true?
Now help what do I do?
