I'd increase contrast in the B&W area.

I agree that you need some more contrast in the black and white. I enjoy color accented/selective colored photos but this one seems to be missing something. Perhaps have the leaves and stem of the flower in color as well? That might tie in the rest of the flower to ground the petals a bit.

I would add contrast 'just' to the bw if i knew how, also I took the pic with a digital filter on that only allowed red light through...how would I make the leaves green again?

I like the colours - I'd crop it a little to reduce the distraction of the background - the B&W helps with that but I think there's too much of it. (just my humble...)
