Hey guys, Im new to the forum. I was recently on vacation and a friend of mine showed me longtime exposure, and i messed around with it a bit. I dont know much about photography, but what can you expect from a 14 year old. But, I enjoy it and I would like some feedback about the pictures I take, negative or positive. Oh, and of course a couple of tips to make me better.

Lets do Fireworks first.

I used longtime exposure for those about .5 seconds of it.

Now here are some night longtime exposures with lights and streets:

That is a girl, that blury thing, i told her to run out and dance and she did and it came out ghostly and i like it.

And those are it, Feedback and tips would be appreciated.

I can see that, I have somewhat got the hang of LTE now, that was one of my first nights using it. Thanks though!

10 & 12 give a very eerie feeling... i like those the best....

yeah, i agree with you on that. I like eerieness (if that is even a word) but it is just like makes ya think somewhat you know?

They are eerie but I think they would have been a lot better with a tripod. Since you are new to long exposures, you may not know that for a long exposure, even a 1 sec. exposure, you need a tripod for it to be in focus and clear. It is impossible to hold the camera still for that long.

I tried to do fireworks pictures without my tripod (because I forgot it:blushing: ) and even with using a table to help steady the camera, there is too much camera shake.

Thanks guys! And i understand what you are saying with the tripod, i dont have one, but ill try like a table or the ground or somthing next time! ;)
