Wow it has been a while.....

I was recently at a wedding having fun and shot this. definitely a different pic for me, but take a look and give me your honest opinions.

Tighter crop maybe? If the flame was your focus then I think there's too much extra space.

beautiful and intriguing subject. DOP makes it pop. Maybe an alternate vantage point could possibly improve the total impact, but I doubt it. The flame is the first focus point for the eye before the eye continues over the remaining content and so maybe the flame shouldn't be exactly in the center. If there is enough of the original to do some alternative out-crops (and Only as an experiment), I would love to see this photo re-arranged in such a way as to have the base's corner in the lower left corner of the frame and the base sides leading into the photo.

The camera expertise and the quality of the exposure makes this a keeper. Well done!

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately there isn't enough in the original to really experiment, but I do understand what you mean about the aspect.
