    the texture is unreal, it almost looks like a painting.

    Thanks all, it's a unique tree alright.

    yes LaFoto, its about 10 metres away, their actually in the botanic gardens so theres all sorts of weird and wonderful trees and plants in the one place and the best part is I can drive there in about 10mins..

    Resin42 It says it's a "Taxus baccate"..................................

    Here's an old scan of a sepia print from about 10 or more years ago, I must go back and try do it justice sometime soon, the old headstone is half inside the tree, hate to think where the roots are :confused:
