just browsing them online and seems the selection is a little thin. what about getting it developed? Going to run out of options?

The selection of brand new film cameras, you mean? Because there are tons of used cameras to be had.

As for film development, there are still labs that develop film and it's also easy to develop at home.

Will there be a film apocalypse when none of it exists anymore? Who knows. I'm hopeful it won't happen in my lifetime and I'll probably start hoarding film just in case. Beyond that, I don't give a crap.

In ten years? Doubt it. In a thousand? Pretty likely. In between? No idea. The world is changing pretty fast. Ongoing production of film cameras has as much to do with the cost of manufacturing complex low demand products as anything else, and that's a moving target.

Maybe people will just 3d print their film camera at home when they want one.
