Shot with Nikon 8008. With the naked eye the tree in the center really popped out. The branches and vines seemed to frame it. But in the photo, it just doesn't seem to jump out as strongly. Anyway, I have mixed feelings and would like your thoughts. I was wanting something relaxing that pulls toward the center.

seems the 8008 was set for matrix metering and mainly exposed for the framed area of the image. i would switch to spot metering and see what you get. is your camera a 8008s or just a 8008? nikon added the spot metering to the 8008s. if not, underexpose a couple stops. you may also be able to get the result you're looking for in PS with the burn and dodge tools. good luck!

It's an 8008s and yes, I was using matrix. The site is nearby so I may run by and try to reshoot this morning. I've never really used burn and dodge in PS. That should be a good lesson.

Thanks
