I'm not sure if the legs can really support that. Right now, I only have a 28-90 lens. I guess I'll find out when I buy a telephoto lens (soon)!

A lot sooner, I think: you'll know when it arrives and you mount your Nikon D50 with Quantaray 28-90mm.

Well I've mounted it, I just haven't taken any pictures with it yet.

btw.... if you decide to go with Bogen like many of us have, don't be afraid to save a few bucks by purchasing used. As I said before... there's not much on those Bogen tripods that can break.

I also own a Davidson Star D tripod, but I'm having problems with a couple of the leg sections not locking. Anyone know what's wrong, or how to fix it?
