Two B&W from ME

I was bored last night so I decided to play around with a few of my older photos in gimp and ended up with 2 pictures I liked and so I wanted to show them to you all :meh:

I toyed with this one for about 30minutes

(The last one was done in Camera Raw in about 2/3 minutes with some subtle changes)

The tones in #1 make it look almost like an IR; I like the way the sun is right behind the tree. Nice job. #2 is nice, but I think it needs a little lightening around the subject, and inside the doorway just to bring out a little more detail.

thanks for the input
and the sun was behind me but it ended up looking that way (i liked it also)
and with #2 i was trying to hide the people in the doorway because i felt they were going to be too distracting
