Up in a tree at night!

    guys,

    so there is a light that reflects on the leaves in this tree. I was trying to get the light reflection on the leaves but i couldnt seem to quite get it, any tips?

    Kinda has a "plastic" look to the leaves. Maybe change the orientation of the shot? I found myself tilting my head to get a better angle on it.

    interesting abstract, but kind of misses the mark in several ways. this kind of shot practically demands color, but a bw can be done, you just have to compensate for the lack of color with contrast and detail. There's really no focal point to this image, and it's pretty chaotic - not exactly what i would think of when i saw a pretty tree with light glowing through it. my direct suggestion would be to just use more of the tree in the shot and shoot color, or find a good method to convert and adjust contrast so the leaves have nice detail. keep shooting!

    thanks for the advice guys! that tree is right outside my dorm so i got more chances to get the shot im looking for!
