Waterproofing a digital camera

Hi! I'm about to go on a trip which might involve some diving. I've got an old 2Mpix camera (possibly expendable -- that's how old it is). How do I modify this camera so that it can take pictures underwater? Is there an airtight container I can put it in and still be able to push the button?
