Window View 14

    I like this photo, but I am unsure on it's composition and colour. Let me know. This shot from my window including just the building tops. Nikon D1
    ƒ10 @ 1/200 focal length = 40mm Cloudy+2 WB

    Oh dear - I'm just lost on this one, Craig. The solid white slab at the bottom has me scratching my head, unfortunately. It just looks like the top portion of a couple building roofs, under a lifeless sky. You have the advantage of knowing everything that your viewer is unable to see below, if that makes sense. ;) So, what is it at the bottom here that I can't see? :)

    Too much sky. Lose the top 1/4 (that patch of white cloud) and you should find that the balance is better and the composition stronger.


    And remember the Crit Gallery rules about info ;)

    Thanks gang!! Terri hit the nail on the head so to speak. This is a view from my lab. I was afraid it might not provide info. I do love the sky and I was hoping that would carry the frame. I will try some different crops.
