OK, here are 3 different versions. I have included the original to show what I had to work with. Thanks.

1. The original- Just converted the RAW to JPEG and resized.

2. Just a B/W conversion.

3. B/W conversion with grain (trying for the older photo look, which is what I tried to do in the original photo posted.)

The grainess of the last picture doesn't work... The contrast needs to be on the emotional side of death and the thought of rememberance. It would help to darken the background and add a little contrast on the objects itself.
