    Stuck leaf

Yesterday it looked like winter wonderland here. Very heavy wet snow fell which caused lot of outages. My power was out from 3am until about 9am. It was a crazy and stressful day but I managed to get out to take some photos. I know it's nothing special but I liked the way this leave was wedged...

    It snowed!

Woke up to about 4 inches of heavy wet snow...power went out at 3:33am (perfect timing) and didn't come back on until almost 10am. But managed to get out to take photos, didn't get anything I liked that much but I liked the colors in this. Nikon Z6II + Z 50mm 1.8 S

    The difference of a month

I took these two photos a month apart. Thought it was kinda cool to see the difference one month make from March to April. Nikon Z6II + MC 105 2.8 VR S

    Gloomy Spring Day

I have to admit, this is one of my favorite photos I've taken in a while that is almost exactly what I had in mind so it nice to see it become a reality. Nikon Z6II + Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S - f/3.5, 1/800th, ISO 200 spring rain by Nicholas Erwin, on Flickr

    Sky Cut Out Assistance

So I have some photos that I've replaced the sky by using "Blend If" and taking out the blues or grays. Works great most of the time until the background turns to bokeh. I get fringing and its difficult to get it to blend well and look natural. I had it figured out at one point by waving a brush...

    Floral Images

A couple shots I grabbed yesterday after reclaiming my old Carl Zeiss Ultron 50mm f1.8 lens. Both the lens (CLA'd) and adapter (M42 to Fuji X) came in the mail yesterday. Flower with Bokeh by Mark Wyatt, on Flickr Honeysuckle Realized by Mark Wyatt, on Flickr

    Oak Leaf Reflection

I am so proud of my self for taking this shot. I've been planning this shot for a long time and I finally nailed it! I've been wanting to get a shot of a oak leaf in a puddle with its reflection. But I could never for the life of me find an oak leaf. But I did today and there was a puddle so I...

    Dragon In The Mist

My second post today and to the Forum. I captured this guy this past summer and intentionally created the bokeh aspect. Always open to C&C as this is how I/we learn going forward. Best regards, Mark

Christmas Light Portraits (Sigma 135 1.8 test)

Wanted to put my new Sigma 135 1.8 ART to the test at the job I bought it for; portraiture. I recruited a friend of mine to play with Christmas lights and pose for me and got the following photos. All photos shot with D810 and 135 1.8 ART. All photos were shot wide open with shutter speeds...

    Autumn is here...

I may not be looking toward the white stuff that always seems to fall after this season but I can't deny the beauty that the autumn season has. Nikon D610 + 70-200 f/4 VR @ 200mm 1/500th, f/5.6, ISO 360

    Golden

Golden hour can make all the difference sometimes. It isn't my favorite photo I ever taken but interestingly, it became one of my most "liked" photos on Instagram, just on it's own. Nikon D610 + 70-200 f/4 VR 190mm, 1/500th, f/5.6, ISO 220 Gold by Nicholas Erwin, on Flickr

Rain isn't going to stop this chipmunk!

I was out taking photos in the rain yesterday and saw a family of chipmunks eating seed I accidently dropped all over the place haha. But this one in particular didn't care I was really close to him taking photos, he just sat there eating seed. Nikon D610 + 70-200 f/4 VR 1/125th, f/5, ISO 800...

Hi, I need some help! So I'm planning on buying the GH5 in a couple of weeks. I'm just not sure what lens to get. I do exactly know how I want my footage to look like, so I'm asking the more advanced people in this field (you guys) for some advice. So, take this guy: '' YouTube Video (10s) ''...

Help! Night portraits with Canon 50mm/1.4 lens?

Hi guys, I'm still kind of beginner. I have the Canon t41 and I just bought the 50mm/ 1.4 lens. I would love to shoot night portraits with a nice bokeh effect. Like have the street lights in the background look beautifully blurred. Which are the best settings for that in manual mode? I can't...

    Should I change

Hello, I am a beginner (passionate) photographer and I bought my olympus OMD E-M10 around a year ago. It came with the kit lens M. Zuiko 14-42mm EZ and the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm 1:4.0-5.6 R. After a year playing with it, I find myself not being very satisfied with my pictures anymore and...
