Okay well its not "bizzare" but not one frequently seen around here. This is due to forest fires from Canada making the sun visible with the naked eye.
I live in a small country town as you can tell and it was funny to see people come out of their homes to photograph the sun going down. Someone...
Mystery Object in my photo. This is just the 1 1/2 hours that it moved from the NW to SE - the arrows show the direction of travel. The stars are actually standing still and the Earth is rotating East which makes the star trails move from Right to left. So this object is going faster, the other...
This was shot during my visit to India last year, when we're coming back from the Ind0-China border in eastern Sikkim. The weather was overcast and it would change very quickly from turn to turn. We parked on the side of the road as this was the clearest I had seen the lake from the mountains.
OBX sound side near Frisco. Posted this same pic like several years ago but I spruced it up with some auto-levels and it looks much better than the old post. Thought it was worth reposting.

So I have some photos that I've replaced the sky by using "Blend If" and taking out the blues or grays. Works great most of the time until the background turns to bokeh. I get fringing and its difficult to get it to blend well and look natural. I had it figured out at one point by waving a brush...
We'd just driven 40 or so minutes and I was hungry for a cigarette before we started trekking to our chosen spot, we pulled up in the car, stepped out and marvelled at the sky immediately. As we were driving we couldn't see the stars, as we climbed we thought the morning would be a washout...
So we headed out to the mountain in search of sunrise, and it did arrive again, however, as we walked through the dark, I knew thee galactic centre had visibility until just before 06:00. As we marched through the 6ft of snow I stopped to marvel at the sky, stars everywhere... I set up and...
As the fields have been harvested and we were travelling to a gorge in the north, I stopped to smoke a cigarette and wanted to get a few shots of these bales and this landscape we were passing through. I've done a basic edit on this one but I'm undecided if I like it, Be interested to hear any...
I took a few pictures of downtown Edinburgh the other night just before and after golden hour. Any CC is welcome as I've only started doing photography with a DSLR this year.

I waited all week for the clouds to clear so I could go outside and shoot for the new moon. No luck. Tonight, it seemed, was going to be my night. And it was! ...for three minutes before new clouds rolled in really fast. I wasn't really pleased with any of my shots, so these are all pushed in...
I'm not an astrophotographer, but I'm trying to be better at it. I took these tonight, but I'm not very pleased with them. I think my main problem is I don't live in an area where good spots to shoot from are readily available. This was in a small lawn at the bottom of the hill in my...
From a series of color photos of mornings spent enjoying the sunrise at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto Canada.
Original photography using a Canon EOS T1i body. Hand painted in Photoshop.

I've been struggling with my photography lately, like not being inspired to shoot and last night when I was looking at the sky before I go to bed, I noticed how super clear it was and decided to stay up a little longer to capture this.
I know it isn't perfect, but each time I do it, the better...
