Thoughts? iPhone photo edited with snapseed. I thought there was a phone camera gallery.

The more I've thought about it, the more I want to embrace the phone camera as enhancement to photography and not some scourge on it. Anyway.

Though in an ironic twist, the native TPF app won't allow you to view it in its actual Instagram style square crop.

PRETTY GOOD image...love the billboard, and the barbed wire, and the American flag...it's more about the image content than the technicals, although I am sure there are many who cannot see past the image's "technical quality". But then there's a saying, "Ignorance is bliss." I can almost pick out the people who'll ream on this image, and try and rationalize why it would have been "fine" if it had simply been shot with a Hassy...or a Nikon D800...

Yeah, basically my job 65 hours a week is taking technically perfect photos with a 5DIII, 70-200 f/2.8 ISII L of mostly stunningly attractive 17 year old girls. When I'm not working I kinda want to do something different and this is one of those things.

I thought about the shot content and how to frame it for several minutes, I thought about what I wanted to say with the shot a lot. Actually taking the photo took almost no thought. And I did it while taking an evening walk down a questionable part of town and listening to incredible music. It's just an entirely different creative process that I'm really enjoying getting into. Let's just say I'm not carrying my D800 down this street on a random walk.

And editing it on my phone, while still on the walk and talking to my friends while on the walk about the shot. It's just different and for now at least I find it refreshing.

Yeah, basically my job 65 hours a week is taking technically perfect photos with a 5DIII, 70-200 f/2.8 ISII L of mostly stunningly attractive 17 year old girls. When I'm not working I kinda want to do something different and this is one of those things.

I would prefer fishing in such a case.

Ha, it simultaneously keeps me young and makes me glad I'm not that age any more.
