1 Sb600 outside. C&C Senior Shoot

Looking for some C&C for these 3 shots. All comments welcome. I am pleased but still feel that I could still get much better!

I do like all of them a lot, allthough they are a bit cliche.
I pretty much have no knowledge when it comes to portraits, so I can't really describe what I actually think, but I would try making the flash less "obvious". They do look a lot like flash lit images, especially the second one, almost seems like a Copy & Paste-job. Also, I would pull back the exposure in number three a tad, it's a little bit too bright.

Cute model, I like #1's setting alot but her pose looks a bit uncomfortable. Lighting looks very good.
#2 is good but I don't care for the angle.
#3 the flash is too bright. EDIT: My monitor at work has glare, not your photo.

Overall I think these are very good!

They look great! What was your setup?

1 - Looks good to me.
2 - Not sure about the angle or the shadow under her chin.
3 - Love this one. Looks like on camera flash maybe?

TREVER1T I Agree that maybe I could bring down the exposure a tad on number 3.

KKJUN What is Cliche about these?

CCnutco Everything I shot that day was off camera flash

I use a SB600 or a SB700 with a soft box or umbrella, with a human flash stand,... LOL Sometimes I used reflectors also.

Derral Think I got lucky on that one???? Its ok if you do! I may have but I will post a few more but I am not done processing all of them. It was a big shoot.

First and third are very good and I like them a lot. I don't think there's anything wrong with the lighting in the second one, but I really don't like the reflection in the glass behind her, and as others have said the angle is a touch unflattering.

What I really like about the first shot is that the dark, muted colors of the environment provide a nice contrast to her hot pink shirt and light skin - it really makes her pop. That's the case in the third shot too, but since there's less background it's a slightly different feel. Great job!

I think these look excellent! I'm curious about how you used the SB-600. Did you use it in the shoe or off camera? Most of the look like they were off camera (perhaps on a tripod?) but one looks like it might have been in the shoe. Also, did you use a diffuser?

Good results, especially when considering the limited setup. #1 is my favorite. #3 is a bit overexposed...not for my taste. overall, still very nice!

I did put the sb600 on a tripod with a radiopopper. I dont trust TTL to always flash when out side. I used a small lightsphere for some and an umbrella for others. Every shot was off camera.

The first shot is the best lit IMO but she is precariously posed and looks a little tense. The other two are rather ho-hum poses.
