10.000 days

I was listening to the full album from Tool called as the title of this post while editing this picture and i realise how good the image and the music fit together.

Shot was taken in Salzburg a couple of weeks ago, model is a friend of mine - no professionals around me.
I used a Canon EOS 1100D, and if you're wondering about the sharpness of the picture, I have to admit that i never cared about that.
The idea i wanted to give using the contrast between her being frozen and bikes passing by is contained in this short part of the song "Vicarious":

Credulous at best, your desire to believe in angels in the hearts of men.
Pull your head on out your hippy haze and give a listen.
Shouldn't have to say it all again.
The universe is hostile. so Impersonal. devour to survive.
So it is. So it's always been.

Picture is great.
I suggest trying to pull a bit of detail out of her clothes, they are an inky blob and her face is brilliant white.
and - redo your burning in, it shows very obviously on the wall.

The title means nothing to me, but I am not a Tool fan.

I agree that the dodge/burn in the original is overdone, but I think there are two viable directions to go:

- do a better job of feathering it out to the surround. The contrast at the girl is right, it's the transition to the rest of the picture that is too abrupt.
- make the dodging MORE obvious, create a clear "halo" of brightness around the girl, which produces a kind of dreamlike effect that I think would work quite well here.

The picture is excellent.

Second option was what the first version of the pic was about... but i think i like it more with the editings i did and posted a little bit below the original thread.
About the title: 10.000 days is a way to communicate the endless waiting for something - so the picture is about that.
She's frozen, eyes staring at who-knows-what, while the whole world moves around her.

I have never seen anyone waiting for someone in such a pose, never mind 10,000 days. The pose to me is too theatrical for such a connotation. Nevertheless the image itself is great. It does not have a feel of waiting, as the world does not stand still here, there is a lot of movement. So I would not have attached any meaningful title. But I love the image. The composition is wonderful.

Love the concept and framing but the overall image is too soft for the action being portrayed especially on the girl.
