That's what I'm going with. Additionally, since the time zone was not specified, I'm using Hawaiian-Aleutian Time - the western-most in the world. That gives us until 4:59 AM in the morning (EST)

I've been pondering the origins of the saying, "The cats out of the bag". Does it mean that at one time it was acceptable to put cats in bags? I would think that is most difficult to do.

Not as hard as you'd think, really. I can put a paper bag (grocery or shopping size) on the floor, on it's side. Both of my cats will appear out of nowhere to get into the bag. Boxes are the same way.

Now, getting one to stay in there, when they don't want to, is another thing.
