14 week old Red Squirrels

Today I tickled a Red Squirrel's belly
I could of watched these 3 little balls of red fur all day long!

Sadly it is estimated that Red Squirrels will be extinct on mainland UK in about 10-15 years.

Sadly their mother rejected them so the keepers now have to play as mum

OK, next to otters!

I didn't make it to the Otter Zentrum, but on Wednesday the sun will shine and I'll be on the road. It is a bit far - it is - more than the 1 1/2 hour drive I estimated roughly, could well be 2 hours +, but I'll go there. My mind's set.

And then!
I'll take the most wonderful, cutest, best .... it is late. I must be dreaming already. Whose photos could compete with YOURS when it comes to cute animals and CAPTURING their cuteness!??

shame those greedy not so cute grey ones have taken over.... dont think iv ever seen a red one in the wild =/

Come to the Meet-Up next year, Arch, whenever I see a squirrel (all living "wild") dash up a tree (never see them in any other way :roll: ), it still is a red one. I have never seen a grey one live before. So being here might give you the chance to spot one!

in kent ohio there are black squirrels. it seemed odd to me at first. id imaging its like americans going to australia pointing out every single kangaroo they see.
