1800 dollars - What to get?

Hi. After my birthday i'll have around 1800 dollars and i wan't to get a complete new kit.
Im currently looking at:
Nikon D5200 - Kit 18-55, Kingjue MK-257+QB-0 Kit, Lowepro Flipside 300, Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1,8 - It's around 1500 dollars.
- Please note that everything is expensive as **** in denmark and that's why i can't get a very good bang for the buck.

Yeah, well, if it costs that much, that's what it costs. I looked at the tripod here (Professional Kingjue MK-257+QB-0 Classic Flip-lock Tripod Ballead Kit at US$84.57) and that looks pretty good. yeah, d-slr + 18-55 + 35mm f/1.8 prime lens....YES, a solid start!!!

Please keep in mind that the D5200 can use even VERY OLD, pre-Ai Nikkor lenses, albeit in manual only metering and manual-only focus, but that DOES allow you to purchase "old lenses" like say, the 1960's and early 1970's model lenses like the 50mm f/2 Nikkor, or the 105mm f/2.5, sometimes referred to as the "silver-barrel" Nikkor lenses, at prices that are often very low. For example, a pre-Ai 55mm f/3.5 Micro-Nikkor macro lens in rough shape sells for about $35 from KEH.com.

These PRE-Ai lenses are NOT USABLE on the vast,vast majority of newer Nikon cameras, but the D3000-series and D5000-series models (and the D40,D40X,AND D60) CAN USE THESE LENSES in their original condition. For seldom-used lenses, like say a macro lens, or whatever, that makes the D5200 a good camera choice.

Any body you want, and a Tamron 17-50 f2.8. It just slaughters most kit lenses.

I use the D5200 myself, I love mine.

Do you already have a kit or is this your first one? I'm a Canon guy so I'm no help as far as your kit goes but I do have that bag. Holy cow that's the best bag ever. I carry so much in there,
5DIII,,70-200II,,24-70II,,50mm,,100mm 2.8
plus all the extras, batteries, cleaning supply, filters (3),cards, strap. The list just goes on and on. Oh and I even packed it with a bunch of extra padding from other bags. I can drop that sucker with no worries. I have 4 or 5 other bags that never get used because I love my 300. lol

Looks like you are on for a very good start, the D5200 is a very powerful camera.
The added equipment is always good, for lenses you can consider getting them used.
All my lenses were bought used, it will potentially same you a lot of money, yes you can get a lemon but in most cases they are in good shape.

@shaylou - It's technically not my first the but the one i have now is a Sony A37 - Kit lens and a ****y plastic tripoed, tiny tiny bag so..
I've been looking into the Canon 700D to but the D5200 is cheaper and the D5200 looks like it taktes better quality images.
