1st atempt at composite image C&C

This is my first attempt to do a composite image, I realize the background is a much lower quality but it was one of the only free ones i could find to meet my needs. If someone can suggest a resource for this that would be great.

Please feel free to pick this image apart so i can learn from it and can realize what mistakes i made and what i could have done differently. Thanks for taking the time to look.

None of the lighting on each of the different components match. Your sky is super dark with no light at all, your mountains have partial light and the truck has a lot of light.

The number one the you must do to make a composite work is to match light.

One thing you might want to consider, check out a program called blender. It's a 3d program that will allow you to make your own custom backgrounds. The upside is the cost, it's free. The downside is the interface is a nightmare. But if you are willing to put in the time to learn how to use it you can do some pretty neat stuff with it.
