So I got a new camera.. one that doesn't just take the picture for you..
Only time there has been any decent light at all since I bought it was a sunset.. while I love sunsets I am sure they will bore you all to pieces.. sorry.

I liked how the light came through the tree.. what can I say.. I am boring.

This one happens to be the first shot I have ever taken that the colors of a sunset came out... real.

#1 the foreground is underexposed and much too dark.

I like #2. You got the horizon nice and straight. I'd consider cropping off the bottom to get rid of that glob of weeds at the lower left.

first one looks a bit under exposed

2nd looks good i wouldve like to see the sun alittle more to the right but thats just me like this:

I'm pretty sure he means he got a nice new camera with some good manual options rather than a P&S.

...And yes, P&S cameras do have manual options but generally they're a bit of a joke and very limiting relative to an SLR.

...And yes, you can take wonderful photos with a P&S also :)

If you wanted to expose the foreground more in 1 then you could try getting some graduated ND filters (i found cokin ones good) you would almost definately need a tripod imho

What camera are you using?

I like the second picture but the horizon is dropping slightly to the left. Great colors.
