1st time doing HDR

I actually like the first one better because it doesn't look unnatural.

I think it depends on what you want to show through your photo. Are you trying to tell a story? Are you trying to present a form? Are you trying to show your technique? Or are you trying to show your HDR skills?

If you are trying to tell a story and all the audience can focus on is the technique, then technically speaking, the technique failed.

I guess the reverse applies too. If you are trying to show your HDR technique and all I can think is that it looks natural, then maybe it's not good enough.

I was trying to show my HDR technique . I will actually be doing other test shots later and I hope it comes out better.

The first one looks natural, which is always a good thing when using HDR.

Thanks jake! I am really after a more natural look in HDR. I am doing other test shots later and I hope it comes out better. One thing I have noticed is that shooting greenery doesn't really come out to be that great in HDR... IMO. I will be doing some structure shoots and hope it comes out better.
