Here are two pics from today's session. Not my favs, but the first to be done for the model. C&C welcome. Super hot out there today!

What did you use for lighting? You have a nice dramatic sky and environment, but the light on the model seems a little flat - more so in the first shot than in the second.
 
I like #2 better for sure. I would crop it a lot closer. Just around the cloud above the umbrella.

My biggest complain is basically the wide angle lens. There is too much distortion going on for this type of shot.

I thought you meant distortion in the figure. This location is on the top of Hamilton Mountain. Not a huge mountain, but you can see the slope behind the model. The shot with the pole is 28mm... too wide?
 
I think schwetty's been smokin' his breakfast again. I don't see any distortion. I like #1 better, but I agree with schwetty that a closer crop on #2 would be a major improvement.
 
Subs... Then explain the pole being straight and the vegetation leaning to the the right? :).
 
Where I'm from, trees and plants grow vertical, doesn't matter the slope.
