These don't do much for me
the first one is okay
but the 2nd one the bird distracts me

The bird is the point!

The first one is about a human burning rubber (jogging) in the context of massive amounts of rubber (the tires at the Grand Prix). The second is about the bird using his arms (wings) in the context of all the organized exertion at the swimming pool.
