2 portrait shots - first post

So this is my first post here (yaaaaaaaaay).
(been browsing for months though)

I took these 2 pictures with my Canon 400D. Just the standard kit lens.
Taken at 1/4 shutter speed.

Some people like the composition and angles of them, i'm not sure whether to straighten them up?
Very tiny amount of PP done to these.

There's going to be many split opinions on the angle. I think the photos are great but I don't care for the angle myself.

You have ONE pretty girlfriend. Wow.
And well, it is funny with these two: while I normally am a very traditional-style photographer and don't deal well with funny angles, I do like them HERE!!! And I like the very bright, almost disappearing background! Good choice. I can tell that you already know well what you are doing!!!

I like the angles, poses and composition but, altho it's difficult to tell at this size, they look soft.
