Well, whilst not paying attention in maths today.. i was pondering about some camera things.

1.) Whats the use of "range-finder" cameras, im guessing the clues in the name.

and

2.) whats the performance difference in circular and linear polarising filiters?

Thanks,

Dave :)

You guess it, a rangefinder is used to find the distance to subject, that’s how you focus, you do not see thru lens

Auto focus camera will not focus with a linear polarizer and there is also a rarely used type of light meter that will not work

cant aswer your question but waht are you learning in math, is i boring, i am on this site for the first 10 minutes of math often

Second-hand film rangefinder rigs are among the least expensive choices for decent 35mm cameras. I use a Fed, Zorky and Kiev for street photography.

Great :) thanks for your help! Btw..... why are rangefinders.... like the new digital ones so damn expensive :D

Because they're specialist and they're cashing in on what the Leica crowd are going to move on to!

Manly because of two reasons high-end customer base and small market share, so the design and manufacturing cost cannot be spread across a large sale base like most cameras
