Armed with Canon 70-200 f4, Canon 7D, 8GB and 16GB CF card and a monopod, I shoot my first ever marathon on Sunday. 95% of these photos were shoot in manual exposure with AI servo. This is a series of photos just before the finishing point of the event. Please feel free to comment and suggest. Any word from anyone is much appreciated.

Im sorry but no thought has been put into framing them, i alway thought runners ran upright so why is every shot in landscape ?

Simply because I can't turn my camera on the monopod ( I know I need a ball head attached ), but having said that, I quite like the landscape shot that allow me to include some of the reaction of the crowd and their fellow runners as they sprint pass them ( which are captured in some of my shot and will be post later)

Why didn't you hand hold it ? by the look of the shots you shutter speed was fast enough, i often hand hold a 1Dmk2 and 300F2.8L
