The 18-300mm is a DX lens so it wont work on FX cameras so if i upgrade to the FX bodies then the 18-300 would be useless, due to this will the 24-85 VR and 70-300 be better? Also the 24-85 VR and 70-300 are in my budget the only reason im considering the 18-300 is if the image quality is better. I'm buying the lenes with the D7000 and on BHPhotoVideo.com if i buy the 24-85 VR and 70-300 then i'll get both lenses at $883 which is cheaper than the 18-300 and the 18-300 doesnt have any discounts. If image quality is similar then i'd go with 24-85 VR and 70-300 as its ~$150 Cheaper. Which one do i choose?

The image quality won't be better on the 18-300Also dx glass works on fx bodies.... Just not the best option. I would take the 24-85 and 70-300 over the 18-300.

Does anyone have the 24-85? Wondering what people thing of it? I am saving some money and thinking of buying a D600. If so, then Ill want a nice lens that is affordable to use as a every day lens. I could also buy a 24-120f4 but very $$$.

I wish Nikon had a lens like the canon 24-105 f4 L series.
