24 Hours of LeMons

I covered the "'Shine Country Classic" 24 Hours of LeMons event at Barber Motorsports Park a couple weekends ago. It was a very interesting race indeed. There were 68-ish entrants to start and only about half made it past lap one. Budget racing at its best... or worst? Here are some of my favorites from the event. C&C welcome.

That shot of the Geo? is amazing. fantastic.

that miata looks like it's cheating, looks like an old spec miata.

Thank you. It's a Geo Metro with a mid-mounted 3.0 V6 out of a Ford Contour. The Miata was definitely a step above some of the more "spirited" builds. There were a lot of competitors that appeared to more Chumpcar than LeMons.
