I have to be honest and say I don't see any difference between the processing of these, they both appear to be 1-exp HDR + tonemapping.
IMO both are slightly overcooked and "cartoony" (a little like Herge's adventures of TinTin), but that effect does seem to work OK with these images.

The only difference I can see is that #1 was taken in the day and #2 was taken in the evening.

I like both equally, but prefer the composition of #2.

As you mentioned, they were both intentionally cooked on high- the difference is 1 is a "clean" look and 2 is more "gritty" most noticable in the stone/stairs.

Seeing how they are not only different compositions, but were taken at different times of the day (1st in daylight, 2nd after sunset), there's no way for me to compare the two.

Depends... what are you trying to show? The sky has that ugly fake blue that HDR sometime give, in #1.... but you can see "Spaceship Earth" very well. #2 has a much prettier sky.. but "Spaceship Earth" just kind of blends into the sky.

Both are overprocessed and oversaturated. As mentioned.. something in the middle maybe...

what stands out to me more than the processing...it's just not an interesting photo. a snapshot of some stuff. :-(

so no matter how ya process it, I don't think it will be a keeper.

^^^ These 2 are my best sellers...I know it doesn't make sense to you, but there is a difference between what other TPF members think and what paying customers think. Disney is interesting to a lot of people. ^^^
