3" x 2.4" ?????????????? REALLY?

I have the size set to large (16"x10") in my D7000. Shooting RAW then converting them to TIFF and exporting it to my desktop.
When I open it in PS and check the size it shows the print at a size of 3"x2.4" at 300 dpi. Is that what I should expect, or
am I doing something wrong?

You're doing something wrong. D7000 RAW files should be 4928 x 3264 pixels, and I don't think you can change the size when shooting RAW (could be wrong though). At 300 DPI that's 16.426" x 10.88". Are you sure you aren't resizing them when you conver them to TIF?

Thanks Scott, That's exactly what was happening. I had the "Resize to fit" box checked

FWIW it's PPI, not DPI.

Photoshop is quite careful to make the distinction.
